Who is Seth Baker?

Home / About

Here's the short version.

Seth Baker is my name, and I like to think of myself as a Renaissance man. My roots are in the South - Prattville, Alabama, to be specific - but branching out has been one of my top priorities. Travel, music, sports and people are a few of my favorite things, in no particular order. I'm a firm believer that people's lives are shaped by the humans, places and art with which they surround themselves, and I try to live accordingly. I want to live a full life and make a difference, whether that's in one life or in the lives of many. I drink far too much coffee, but if I'm going to have a vice, coffee is better than most, right?
Why Marketing & Public Relations? At university, I was a pre-med student for a year and a half, and I did well in the coursework, but I found that the major was too confining for me. I have so many interests that the idea of limited post-grad options didn't sit well with me, so I decided to make a change. After research and consideration, I chose to major in public relations and pick up minors in business and Spanish. Public relations and marketing come together to create a healthy balance of business and creativity, and as a natural storyteller, that is one of the aspects that attracted me to the field. As a public relations student, I gained experience in a variety of useful subjects like copywriting, journalism, advertising, marketing and management. As you might imagine, this mix was appealing to me because it offers the chance to learn highly practical workforce skills that can open doors in a variety of fields.

Why Choose Me?

I care.

I work hard to make sure every project I create or collaborate on is of the highest quality. From sports and outdoors to travel and culture, I love life. I want to be the best at everything I do, but I place kindness and character above all.

I'm adaptable.

I may not be a workforce veteran, but I know the importance of adaptability not only in a job, but in any area of life. I'll bring smarts and teachability to any team.

I have charisma.

A company is only as good as its employees, and I think employee personality goes a long way in establishing a healthy culture within any business.
